1:1 Girls’ Coach.
Peer Group Facilitator.
Grown-up Girl.
Hi There!
I’m excited you found Seed & Wing! Right off the bat, I wanted to make clear that my services are gender inclusive. Although I am trained in “Girl’s Circle” and offering 1:1 Coaching to “Girls” - Seed & Wing uses this term inclusive of all self-declared Girl experiences. Every single girl experiences girlhood differently, but we are united in our particular societal pressures and we all feel the weight of society’s expectations of “Girl” and “Woman.” We are very welcoming to those transitioning into girlhood and pre-teens transitioning a half-step away (if they want to join).
Girls lift each other up!
I’m Nova…
a licensed School Social Worker (SAC/SSW) and Girls' Circle Facilitator, passionate about supporting preteens ages 9-14. This is a sensitive and challenging stage of life, where guidance, peer connection, and space to grow are essential. I’m excited to work with you or your group, providing thoughtful support and a safe, inclusive environment to navigate these important years.

PEER GROUPS
In-Person Peer Groups Coming Soon!
Local to Somerville, MA
I’m excited to offer peer groups for ages 9–14, creating a supportive space for pre-teens and teens who identify as girls. As a certified Girls’ Circle facilitator and experienced school social worker, I’ve worked extensively with small groups in this age range. Girls’ Circle is an evidence-based program that builds trust, connection, and personal growth through strengths-based language and peer support. While I bring my professional experience, the focus is on connection rather than therapy, with referrals offered if additional support is needed.
Groups can be for ages 9–11 or 11–14, and I especially welcome pre-existing groups of friends or schoolmates whose families want positive support and fun interaction. This unique experience fosters growth, vulnerability, and respect in a structured yet nurturing setting. If you’d like to learn more or form a group, please reach out!

Special offer
1:1 COACHING
I’m excited to offer 1:1 therapeutic coaching support for middle schoolers aged 9-14. While I have a school-based clinical background, my coaching work is not a replacement for therapy. Think of it more as mentoring and guidance designed to help young people grow in areas like self-esteem, identity development, finding their voice, and reshaping habits and social patterns that no longer serve them.
We’ll work on navigating difficult peer relationships, understanding how to begin dating in a healthy way, building identity and personal values, and building stronger self-advocacy skills – especially with friends and classmates. My approach is trauma-informed and supportive—more like a cool aunt who listens and guides rather than a traditional therapist.
If at any point a client needs more intensive or clinical support, I will not hesitate to refer out to appropriate therapeutic services. I do not diagnose, prescribe medication, manage high-risk safety situations, or delve into traumatic experiences. My focus is on helping girls develop their sense of self and build confidence in navigating their social world.
Please reach out if this feels right for your daughter or child!

A bit more about Nova…
Age 9
Age 14
Hey Girls & Parents!
My name is Nova. I have a MEd in School Social Work & School Counseling (SSW/SAC) from Salem State University, and a certification in Girls’ Circle Facilitation from the One Circle Foundation. I also have specific training in trauma-informed practices, DBT, and SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). Outside of my counseling practice in school-based settings, I provide supportive therapeutic coaching. Think of it like a self-esteem, peer focused, and self-advocacy mentor! I’ve been working with kids your age across various settings for 12+ years (that’s older than some of you!). Still, I believe you are the expert on your own self and your own life & experiences. Personally speaking, I’m supportive of campaigns like Vote16USA and the work being done by 826 Valencia - in other words, I want to see to it that the world is shaped by your voices, too! I am also an artist, and I live in Somerville with my husband, baby daughter, and two cats.
Having been a pre-teen girl myself, I remember the pressures of middle school, figuring out who I wanted to be and who I already was in the context of my peer groups and society at large, and of course… so eager to look ahead into my teen years and begin dating. I’ve worked with lgbtq youth and girls on these topics and then some, and I’m excited to work with you too.
I Believe in You Already!
